Culture and history
The church of Larouillies is ornamented in the Baroque style and has three retables and altars with twisted columns, gilded ornaments, and floral, fruit, and flame motifs.
The church’s current structure dates from 1768–1769. At that time, Liessies Abbey built the choir and the sacristy. The church also contains a 17th-century processional cross that is listed as a historic monument.
A gravestone of the Bricard family is also recorded there. Its inscription names Catherine Bricart and Pierre Quenoy and records their deaths on 4 January 1718 and 28 February 1726, respectively.
The Chemin de la Reine takes its name from the route Marie de Médicis took through Larouillies on 19 July 1631 while fleeing after the Day of the Dupes.

Larouillies is part of the continental type 2 ZNIEFF “Le Plateau d’Anor et la Vallée de l’Helpe Mineure en amont d’Etroeungt”.
The historic Abbaye de Montreuil les Dames site is located in the immediate vicinity of Larouillies. In the wider region are Foigny Abbey, Fort d'Haumont, and Fort du Bourdiau.

A brocante takes place in Larouillies on the first Sunday in September. In May, the Larouillies Patrimoine association organises World Bee Day.
