Jolimetz is one of the municipalities included in the ZNIEFF “La Forêt Domaniale de Mormal et ses lisières”.

The oak tree in question is separated from the Mormal Forest by the former Roman road “la chaussée Brunehaut”, which runs from Bavay via Le Cateau to Saint-Quentin.
Culture and History
The “tour de l’écurie” of the former château is still visible today on the chemin des Béguines. Only the moat and outbuildings of this former château in Jolimetz have survived.
