The Parc Jean Jaurès is located at 77 rue Jean Jaurès. From 1 April to 30 September, it is open to the public daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; from 1 October to 31 March, it is open daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
In the vicinity of Faches-Thumesnil, the Espace Naturel des Périseaux offers eight kilometres of agricultural paths for walking or jogging.
Culture
The Centre musical les Arcades has an event hall with 161 seats and a recording studio. Its varied programme includes world music, jazz and offerings for young audiences; the centre also supports regional artists.

The Église Sainte-Marguerite d’Antioche is one of the city’s many older buildings in which chalk from the underground quarries of Faches-Thumesnil, known as “catiches”, was used. The church has been documented since 1104; the original church appears to date from the 11th century. Following restoration, the building regained its 13th-century appearance in 1974.
The Ferme Cockempot follows a four-sided farm layout typical of the Mélantois, in which the buildings enclose an inner courtyard. The street-facing building, with masonry in the “rouge-barre” pattern, bears the year 1786 on its gable, while the barn was built in 1876.
Events
The Fête de la musique, held annually at the beginning of summer, is a festive music event in Faches-Thumesnil. The town’s annual events in October also include the Foulée des Périseaux.
On Sunday, 18 October 2026, the race “Les foulées des Périseaux” is authorised to pass along the angling lake “Les Percots”, the Chemin des Périseaux, rue Arbrisseau and rue Pasteur.
