Landscape
Vallègue is situated in a typical landscape of agricultural hills, wheat fields and sunflower fields. In between are villages made of brick and stone. Those choosing Vallègue as a holiday destination may wish to rent a holiday apartment.
Nature
The 8-hectare Vallègue lake is used for walking and fishing. Sports equipment, picnic tables and barbecue areas are available around the lake.

The Cami del tor del lac includes a fitness trail with ten stations. There are also tables, benches, a barbecue, barriers and a jetty along the route.
The Cami del tor del lac is a 2 km circular route around Vallègue lake. Information boards provide information about the history of the village as well as its fauna and flora.
From Vallègue, E-Trott Lauragais generally offers guided or partially accompanied excursions along designated routes. E-Trott Lauragais also rents out four non-electric bicycles.
Culture and History
The Saint Etienne church was built on the former site of the old castle chapel. Its construction was decided in 1897, and it was completed in 1902.
The Château de Vallègue is designated as a historic site and monument in Vallègue. Until the French Revolution, four major fairs were held in Vallègue.
Geographical Location
The Abbaye de Boulbonne is located in the wider regional area around Vallègue and is listed as a historic site. The wider regional area also includes the Abbaye Notre-Dame de Calers, which is likewise listed as a historic site; the Château de Lafage, which is listed as a ruin; and the Abbaye Royale de la Rode, which is listed as a historic site.
