The Canal du Midi was created in the 17th century by Pierre-Paul Riquet and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996. Sainte-Marie Cathedral combines Romanesque and Southern Gothic styles. It can be reached via the A64 or from Montréjeau railway station, 10 kilometres away.
