The church of Saint-Aventin is a pilgrimage church and houses the tomb of Saint Aventin. As a Romanesque church, it has two bell towers typical of the Pyrenees. Other notable features include the portal decorated with sculptures, historiated capitals depicting scenes from the life and martyrdom of Saint Aventin, and remarkable wall frescoes.
A historic pilgrimage in honour of Saint Aventin, held on his feast day on 13 June, attracted pilgrims from all parts of the Pyrenees and from Spain for centuries.
The Chapelle et le pas de Saint-Aventin is associated with a slab of slate whose elongated depression is traditionally regarded as the hermit's footprint.
The cromlechs of the Espiau Mountains are located above the village of Saint-Aventin. They can be visited on an approximately one-hour walk from the village. The graves near the cromlechs are dated to between 3000 and 2000 BC.

The Skirando-Marmottes ski-touring route is a moderate 3.42-kilometre circular tour with 650 metres of elevation gain and starts in Saint-Aventin.
The Skirando-Panoramique route is easy and offers an exceptional panorama of the highest peaks of the Pyrenees.
A hiking route marked with the GR10 begins on the Superbagnères plateau and leads towards the mountain ridges.
