In Quint-Fonsegrives, the Sentier des Planètes presents a true-to-scale model of the solar system along a footpath through the municipality. The installation was created in 2009 to mark the International Year of Astronomy. The route comprises 10 panels in total. Culture and history
In the hamlet of Quint lies the Maison dite des Tourettes, which is listed as a historic monument. Archaeological remains are visible at the entrance to the Église Saint-Pierre de Quint. Herringbone-pattern brickwork provides evidence of the building’s Carolingian era. The church stands on a rocky spur overlooking the Saune valley. In the Middle Ages, it was a small rural church in the Diocese of Toulouse.
Trails and discoveries
A hiking route in Quint-Fonsegrives offers two variants of 5.4 km and 9 km, with an elevation difference of 53 m. One route includes the Statue de Goudouli as a waypoint. The trail leads towards the Château des Tourettes, a former residence of pastel merchants, and offers panoramic views of the surrounding fields and villages.
