Culture and townscape
The Château is one of the three emblematic historic monuments of Castelnau d'Estrétefonds. The old village also features remarkably uniform traditional buildings.
The upper part of the village is dominated by a neoclassical Château and characterised by the neo-Gothic bell tower of Saint-Martin Church. Castelnau d'Estrétefonds is also home to a “pied-de-mulet”-style dovecote, a characteristic cultural heritage feature of the Toulouse-Montauban region.

Castelnau d'Estrétefonds has numerous developed hiking trails. Yellow trail markers indicate the direction of travel.
Nature
The La Gravette nature area features an educational trail across an area of 18 hectares. It is free of charge and open to the public.
The restored wetland of La Gravette comprises a mosaic of different habitats with diverse fauna and flora and supports the reproduction of species.
The La Gravette nature area can be reached on foot from Castelnau d'Estrétefonds railway station in less than 30 minutes. There is a picnic area there.
