The painter Henri Matisse lived in Beauzelle from August 1898 to February 1899. His first son, Jean, was born in Beauzelle on January 10, 1899.
The Église Saint-Julien is believed to have been built in the 16th century, based on the date of the baptism of its bell. A papal bull issued by Pope Innocent XI on July 17, 1687, authorized the establishment in Beauzelle of a brotherhood under the name of Saint Julian and the annual celebration of his feast day on August 28.
Events
Together with the municipality of Aussonne, Beauzelle is home to the metropolitan area's exhibition and convention center, MEETT. The new MEETT exhibition and convention center opened in September 2020. It has a fully modular 40,000 m² hall that can be divided into seven separate halls and can accommodate all kinds of events, including trade fairs, exhibitions, and fairs.
Beauzelle is served by several bus and tram lines. These include Tisséo lines 30, 70, and 71, TAD 120, and liO line 388.
