Auriac-Sur-Vendinelle: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Today, the first and second floors of the Clocher-Donjon in Auriac-sur-Vendinelle house an exhibition featuring the statues and Stations of the Cross relocated there in 1971. The old clock mechanism can also be seen there. Restoration work on the Clocher-Donjon made it possible to visit the building while also safeguarding its surroundings.

Culture and History

The Pont Vieux, built in the 15th century, once served as an access route to Choples to the east and to Vendine and Loubens to the west. The windows of the former castle also testify to the history of the area: they date from the 16th century, are designed in the Flamboyant Gothic style, and are listed in the register of historic monuments.

The Chapelle de Noumérens dates from the 11th century. A Romanesque Chrismon is located above its portal. The village market hall, built in 1870 to promote local trade, adds to the historic character of the area.
