The Notre-Dame church in Aulon is the part of a former Benedictine priory that remains today, which was dependent on Pessan Abbey in the Gers. It is topped by an octagonal bell tower in the Toulouse style dating from the 14th century. The church is listed as a “Monument historique”; protection was granted on 13 July 1926.

In the centre of Aulon there is a 16th-century fountain connected to a 19th-century washhouse. Along the Noue, two of the three former 17th-century mills have been restored.

In the hamlet of Mengué lies the spring of Saint Anthony the Hermit, described as having healing properties. The saint continues to be venerated there every year on 17 January.

Aulon is situated on the D8, which connects Saint-Gaudens with Aurignac.
