Culture and history

The Église Saint-Martin in Forges-sur-Meuse is associated with a clearly dated event: on 4 May 2019, the restoration of its stained-glass windows and façade was inaugurated.

Getting around

Since 2006, the Meuse Vélo rail association has offered rides on a disused railway line in Forges-sur-Meuse. The Vélorail de la Meuse runs from the former Forges station towards Belhaine/Dannevoux through the forest; the round trip is 6.2 km long.

The departure station of the Vélorail de la Meuse is located at 2 rue de la Gare, 55110 Forges-sur-Meuse. A ride on the Meuse Vélo-rail takes approximately 45 minutes to one hour. The route is described as easy, flat, shaded and accessible to everyone.
