Culture

The communal washhouse of Chaumont-sur-Aire dates from the 19th century. It has a distinctive roof structure supporting a zinc roof; a fountain with a crescent-shaped basin is attached to the washhouse.

The Église Saint-Pierre is a sight on the Voie Sacrée in Chaumont-sur-Aire. It was built in 1847 and replaced an earlier church that had fallen into disrepair in 1838. The Église Saint-Pierre is part of Chaumont-sur-Aire’s local heritage.

Places

The Auberge du Moulin Haut is located in a former 18th-century water mill on an enclosed, 3-hectare site outside the village of Chaumont-sur-Aire. A collection of butterflies and other insects can be viewed on the grounds as part of various packages. The grounds of the Auberge du Moulin Haut are surrounded by centuries-old trees.
