Nature

At the Base Nautique du Parroudé in Torreilles, canoeing and stand-up paddleboarding are offered on the Bourdigou through a protected Natura 2000 area. The route begins with a chain ferry and continues to the Mediterranean beach.

Activities

The municipal programme “Découvrez la nature à vélo” comprises three signposted cycling routes of 9, 14 and 20 kilometres. They allow visitors to explore the natural and cultural areas of the municipality of Torreilles; the routes are considered easy and suitable for family excursions.

Culture

The parish church of Saint-Julien was built around 1572 on the site of an 11th-century building and was completely rebuilt in 1912. The Chapelle de Juhègues comprises a chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary, a hermitage, an enclosure and ancillary buildings. The complex, covering several hectares, was restored by the municipality.

Maison Secall is a centre for Catalan mosaic art and, together with the Chapelle de Juhègues, is considered a particularly recommended attraction in Torreilles.

Château Roussillon is a château in the area surrounding Torreilles. Le Castillet, a château, is also located in the surrounding area. The Musée d'art Hyacinthe-Rigaud is located there as a museum, as is the Palace of the Kings of Majorca as a palace.
