Culture and History

The former parish church of Saint-Etienne was first mentioned in 927. The original building was replaced in the 11th century by the present-day church, presumably on the same site. The former parish church of Saint-Etienne has a single-nave layout, a semicircular apse and a southern entrance beneath a round-arched portal.

Saint-Etienne Church contains an altarpiece and a tabernacle dating from the early 17th century, as well as a carved, painted and gilded wooden statue of Saint Stephen. These pieces have been classified as historic monuments since 1979. The municipality also offers a virtual 360-degree tour of the present-day Saint-Etienne Church.
