Culture and History
The Église Saint-Pierre was built in the 17th century on the foundations of a Romanesque church; today, only the Lombard bell tower from the 12th century remains. A large nave is flanked by fourteen chapels on both sides.
The Maison Jacomet is the only surviving example in Prades of a bourgeois house with half-timbering and overhanging floors, a type of construction that was particularly widespread in the 16th century. It is already mentioned in a register from 1504.
On the first floor of the Médiathèque Pompeu Fabra, the Espace Casals offers free admission for a self-guided visit. On display are recordings from 1925 to 1960, authentic letters, the original orchestral score of “Pessebre”, interview tapes, films, paintings, sculptures and works by artists from Prades.
The Trésor de l'église Saint-Pierre is designed as a true museum and is free to visit in Prades. The Espace Martin Vivès is a cultural centre opened in 2015 and dedicated to the Roussillon painter Martin Vivès, who was born in Prades in 1905.

Landscape
The Canal de Bohère crosses the heights of Prades and runs behind the Stade Clément Padrixe; it is mostly open-air. The canal is 42 kilometres long, and hikers follow its route from Saint-Michel-de-Cuxa.
Hiking
The difficult hiking trail “Itinéraire des Belvédères – Les Balcons Nord du Canigó” begins in Prades. It covers 68 kilometres in eight stages between Millas and Prades.
