Planèzes: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Sentier d’Emilie is a path less than 1,500 metres long that climbs on the way out and passes through La Clotade, Roque Courbe, Les Fontasses and Bac del Four Ouest. At the end, hikers can either turn back along a gently descending path or turn left onto a hiking trail that continues for several kilometres.
The very easy, 9.0-kilometre Saint-Pierre à Saint-Martin route starts in Planèzes. It passes through vineyards to the secluded Chapelle Saint-Martin, which is privately owned and inaccessible. Those who choose Planèzes as their destination may wish to rent a holiday apartment there.
Nature
Entering the Tour de Trémoine biotope is prohibited from 15 January to 30 June. The only exceptions are owners and their legal successors carrying out ongoing maintenance of their properties.
The Tour de Trémoine sector extends across the municipalities of Planèzes and Rasiguères. Since 1991, it has been protected by a prefectural biotope protection order, particularly because of the rare and highly sensitive Bonelli’s eagle.
Southeast of the village lies Parc Loubet de Sceaury, which is freely accessible to everyone.
Culture
Several casots in Planèzes are closely associated with winegrowing. Some of the finest and most skilfully constructed examples date from around 1850. The old cemetery around the Chapelle Saint-Pierre was used for burials until the 1920s.
The capitelles of Planèzes are located in the areas of Canorques, St Martin, Bac, Garouilla and Sarrat del Coll del Gabach. They are a reminder that these structures were once essential to the ancestors of today’s inhabitants. Planèzes also has a Romanesque chapel, probably dating from the 12th century, with a semicircular apse and no bell tower.
Water and Wine
The place called Le Barrage is located on the Agly near Planèzes, where there are waterfalls and rapids. Gourd’En Coq is also a place on the Agly near Planèzes and is associated in local tradition with learning to swim.
The Découverte du vignoble route begins at the Planèzes cooperative winery with an introduction to the various grape varieties and leads to the Rasiguères cooperative winery, where wines from these terroirs can be tasted.
Events
Les Musicales de l’Agly is a festival in Planèzes featuring concerts and an aperitif with a tasting. During this event, four days of public concerts are held every July in Parc Loubet de Sceaury, and a film evening takes place there in mid-August.
