Formiguères: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

In the heart of the village of Formiguères stands the Église Sainte Marie, a listed Romanesque monument. Its façade is protected as a Historic Monument. The church can be visited independently every day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Activities

Formiguères has two mountain biking trails: a green one for beginners and a blue one for riders with an intermediate level of experience. The PR25 – Vallée de la Lladure is an easy, signposted hike approximately 13.5 kilometres long, with a walking time of five hours from Formiguères.

The Sentier d’interprétation des Paysages du Capcir begins at Lac de l’Olive, is signposted and takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Lac de l’Olive is reserved for recreational fishing. The Stage de pêche à la truite programme offers guided fishing trips at Lac de l’Olive in Formiguères.

Nature

A hike through the Vallée de la Lladure leads through meadows, forests and peaceful paths, making it suitable for a nature outing with family or friends.

The Camporells ponds are designated as a classified natural area, while the Camporells forest is classified as a heritage forest. The Camporells can be reached on foot from Formiguères, the Lladure Valley, Lac des Bouillouses or the Galbe Valley; access is physically demanding, but not excessive.

Local Produce

Ferme Pérarnaud sells agricultural products directly: farm-raised veal in packages or individually, raw milk, fresh cheese, yoghurt, and matured cheeses such as Tomme, Raclette and Tartiflette. Ferme Pérarnaud offered milking observation at 6:30 p.m. and a self-guided farm visit until 7:30 p.m.
