Vérargues lies at the heart of the production area for Muscat de Lunel. This naturally sweet wine is produced in the sandstone hills of Lunel, Lunel-Viel, Vérargues and Saturargues. The Vignerons du Muscat de Lunel cooperative has been based in Vérargues since 1957.

Wine and Trails
The Cave Coopérative du Muscat de Lunel is located on the Route de Lunel-Viel in Vérargues. Château de la Devèze is situated on the RD110 in Vérargues. The Randonnée des Châteaux du Muscat de Lunel trail runs through the vineyard-covered hills between the vines of the A.O.P. Muscat de Lunel and pine forests, passes Château de la Devèze and runs alongside the imposing buildings of Château de Pouget. Château de Pouget is located in Vérargues amid the vineyards of Muscat de Lunel.
Various trails are also part of the local landscape. The GR653, the Arles Route of the Way of St. James, has passed through Vérargues since 2015 and is well signposted throughout. The Voie douce can be used by cyclists of every ability level.
Culture and History
The church of Vérargues was built between 1892 and 1894. It is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and is under the patronage of Saint Theodore and Saint Andrew. Vérargues indicates the presence of a Gallo-Roman settlement. The village also has five crosses, most of which date from the 19th century.

Camargue traditions are part of the history, landscape and culture of Vérargues. The Fête de Vérargues traditionally takes place on the last weekend of June; this Fête de Vérargues includes taurine festivities.
