Saussines reveals itself through striking historical details. The Church of Saint-Étienne was classified as a historic monument by decree of 12 April 1963. Its construction probably began in the late 11th or early 12th century. On the west façade, it has a portal with a double recess, flanked by two blind portals.

The Château of Saussines was built in 1644 by Estienne de Cazalet as a large two-storey house; the north wing was added in the 18th century.

Empègues are stencil markings on gates and façades associated with contributions to the votive festival of Saussines. The winegrowers’ houses of Saussines also illustrate the agricultural history of the Vidourle region.
