Saint-Séries: Holiday Apartments and Houses

The Vidourle forms the eastern boundary of Saint-Sériès from the Moulin de St Christol to La Roque. La Roque de Saint-Sériès is a 75-metre-high rock in a bend of the Vidourle.

Halfway along the route, visitors can choose between the difficult variant with a zip line and the very difficult variant via a diagonally overhanging ladder; the lower exit was removed in 2016 for safety reasons because of the risk of falling rocks.

The Via Ferrata de la Roque is relatively short, takes an average of less than two hours and is considered physically demanding.

History

The present-day church of Saint-Sériès was built in 1874 after the former priory and the former church were burned down during the Camisard Wars.

From the 16th to the 18th century, the village of Saint-Sériès was centred around the Château du seigneur de Vibrac, which was built around 1630.
