Saint-Nazaire-De-Ladarez: Vacation Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

The Saint-Nazaire-de-Ladarez marble quarry has two quarry faces. The eastern face is 135 m long and 35 m high and shows traces of extraction using black powder. At the western face, the steps created by the extraction are still visible, while the quarrying surfaces preserve traces of extraction using diamond wire.

The quarry supplied the bright red, white- and light-gray-veined Rouge Incarnat marble, as well as Incarnat Turquin and gray Cévenol marble.

The Chapelle Saint-Étienne-de-Ladarez is an elongated rectangular building with a barrel vault, a roof made of flat stone slabs, and a straight-ended choir. A stone inscription above a door mentions a restoration in 1706. Until the beginning of this century, the chapel was a pilgrimage site.

Those who choose Saint-Nazaire-de-Ladarez as a travel destination want to find a vacation apartment.
