Roquebrun lies on the southern slope of Esquirol, a rocky promontory connected to the first foothills of the Cévennes, and at the entrance to the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park. Culture

The Église Saint-André is open during the day and can only be reached on foot. A stroll through Roquebrun’s medieval lanes reveals well-preserved cultural heritage. The Place de l'Église offers an exceptional panorama of Roquebrun.

The Maison du Patrimoine is located below the church. It presents the geology of Roquebrun and conveys the history of the village from the Neolithic period to the present day. Of Roquebrun Castle, dating from around 900, only the tower remains as the sole surviving part.

The Jardin Méditerranéen de Roquebrun was established in 1986 below the watchtower of medieval Roquebrun. It includes a botanical educational trail showcasing the local flora, numerous varieties of mimosa and a Mediterranean orchard. The garden is also home to the largest collection of succulent and exotic plants in the Hérault département; these plants grow under natural conditions.

At Lake Roquebrun, Canoë Roquebrun rents out canoes, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards by the hour. La Cave de Roquebrun produces wines under the AOC Saint-Chinian-Roquebrun appellation.
