Prémian: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Prémian lies on the left bank of the Jaur in the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park. Anyone planning a stay in Prémian and wishing to rent a holiday apartment should consider the town on the Jaur as a destination.

Culture and History

“Au Fil des Rues” is a simple artistic and cultural-historical tour through Prémian with twelve stations over 2.3 kilometres, for which approximately 1.5 hours are planned. Using eyewitness accounts and artistic installations, the tour conveys the history of Prémian and its inhabitants. Audio documents and videos can be accessed on a smartphone via QR codes.

In the wider region around Prémian are the historic site of Abbaye Notre Dame and the church of Saint-Amans-de-Mounis.

Landscape and Nature

The Tour du Lac de Vésoles leads through a forested landscape to viewpoints; the protected lake area includes moorlands with remarkable flora. Lac et Saut de Vésoles is located in the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park; heathland and forests surround the lake.

The summit of Signal de Saint-Pons and the mountains of La Grage, Plo du Pendu and La Sigalasse are located in the vicinity of Prémian.

Hiking and Cycling

The Tour du Lac de Vésoles hike is an easy circular route of around 6.5 kilometres in Prémian and takes approximately two hours. It is accessible with a level 1 Joëlette and suitable for people with limited walking ability; however, there is a staircase between the car park and the starting point.

Circuit No. 8 Notre-Dame de Trédos is a red route of the Site VTT-FFC Caroux en Haut-Languedoc for experienced mountain bikers. The starting point is at Place Saint-Amans in Prémian. The long-distance hiking trail GR 77 also crosses Prémian from north to south.
