Architecture and history

Poujols is home to former wine and olive sheds featuring dry-stone construction elements. The architecture also includes entrances made of profiled dressed stone, resembling the doors of bourgeois houses. Some of the decorations can be explained by the craftsmanship of the local stonemason, Monsieur Raynal.

The Rocher de Poujols is part of the local cultural heritage. The Pont de Poujols was rebuilt in the 19th century by workers from Poujols. The Sainte Croix church has a listed bell.

The cycle route “Le Col du Perthus et le Cirque de Labeil depuis Lodève” leads to the foot of the village of Poujols.
