Plaissan: Holiday Apartments and Houses

History

The historic centre of Plaissan has a square shape. Its layout suggests planned development in the second half of the 14th or in the 15th century. Le Portalet is a gateway through Plaissan’s former curtain wall.

The medieval parish church of Saint-Pierre in Plaissan, dedicated to Saint Peter, is first mentioned in a poorly dated document from the 12th century. Originally, the church stood outside the walls; between 1875 and 1878, it was relocated to the village centre. A stately residential complex known as “le château” has overlooked the village since the end of the 18th century.
