Culture and history
The Église Sainte-Marie-Madeleine is a Romanesque church; its original construction may date back to the 12th century.
Its portal, including the carved wooden door, has been listed as a Monument historique since 23 April 1953.
The Fontaine vieille was created in 1621 and is connected to washhouses.
A mural by the artist Noon is located on the disused water tower in the town centre.
The artist Zeklo created a portrait on the wall of the former livestock watering trough around the Château.
The Musée d’Art Sacré et d’Histoire is located in the chapel next to the church and displays religious objects in summer.
Art in the village
The Parcours artistique begins at the Espace Papanou, leads to the observatory and around the Château, then continues to the media library and the school and ends behind the town hall.
The Parcours artistique features works created using techniques such as brush painting, aerosol, chalk drawing and direct drawing, as well as the use of colour and tone-on-tone design.
Nature and trails
The Arboretum du figuier comprises more than 80 fig tree species.
The jardin botanique méditerranéen comprises 150 varieties of trees and shrubs.
The Caminières are paved paths lined by high walls that lead to the vegetable gardens and vineyards; Mazets and Grangeots, as well as numerous stone or wrought-iron crosses, are located along the paths.
Radial paths lead through the vineyards and past numerous stone or wrought-iron crosses, as well as Mazets and Grangeots, which served winemakers as tool sheds and shelters.
