Culture and History

The Church of Saint Barthélemy was built on a small hill in the 11th or early 12th century. It suffered considerable damage during the Wars of Religion between 1570 and 1625. It was completely restored in two restoration campaigns between 1980 and 1995.

The communal bread oven of Garrigues has retained its original function since it was built and was completely rebuilt in 1742. The communal bread oven, restored and operational since 2015, is fired up on the last Sundays from October to April.
