Nature

Culture and History

The Fortin de Tizzano was built from a Genoese tower erected in the 16th century. In the second half of the 18th century, it was expanded at the request of the Intendant of Corsica with a fortification featuring four round towers and a battlement walk. Since 6 September 1985, the Fortin de Tizzano has been listed as a historic monument.

The ancient site of Alignement de Pagliaju is located in the immediate vicinity of Tizzano. The area around Tizzano also includes the ancient site of Dolmen de Fontanaccia, the ancient site of Alignement de Stantari and the ancient site of Alignement de Renaju.

Activities

Tizzano Diving Private is located at the port of Tizzano and offers private dives for exploration, introductory dives and diving courses.

The Centre Equestre Santu Pultru offers horseback rides, one- or multi-day riding tours and introductory courses; the riding excursions start in Tizzano at a small fishing port.
