The Église Saint-Savinien was begun at the end of the 12th century, restored after the Hundred Years' War and completed at the beginning of the 16th century. The local cult of Sainte Syre has been documented since the 14th century. The village's main road is called rue Saint-Savinien.

According to tradition, Sainte Syre had a chapel built at the burial site of Saint Savinien. Another historical trace is the Site archéologique des Hardillères: the archaeological site was listed as a protected monument by a decree dated 10 October 1995. It includes archaeological remains preserved underground.

The Hugues de Payns Museum is located near Rilly-Sainte-Syre. In the wider region are the Musée Saint-Loup, the historic site of Abbaye Notre-Dame des Prés-lés-Troyes and the historic site of Abbaye des Sellières.

The V33 – Voie verte du canal de la Haute-Seine passes through Rilly-Sainte-Syre. This route is accessible on foot and by bicycle.
