In Précy-Notre-Dame, the Noue du Moulin is a preserved, still-functioning wetland with a former river channel running parallel to the Aube. The wetland covers 2 hectares in the Aube floodplain landscape.
The banded demoiselle (Calopteryx splendens) occurs in Précy-Notre-Dame. The species prefers sunny running waters in lowland and upland areas, but is occasionally also found in standing waters such as ponds and former river channels.
