History and culture

The Tour du Boulevard is a remnant of the 15th-century fortifications of Mussy-sur-Seine and an artillery tower with walls 3 to 4 metres thick. Its artillery embrasures have crenellated sides known as « à la troyenne ».
The Collégiale Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens and its stained-glass windows were classified as a Monument historique in 1840. The oldest stained-glass windows are unpainted grisaille windows in the clerestory and date from the late 13th century.
The Grenier à sel dates from the 14th century and supplied fifty parishes after the introduction of the gabelle salt tax.
The Musée de la Résistance de l’Aube is dedicated to commemorating the Maquis Montcalm, also known as the Maquis Mussy-Grancey, as well as the battles that took place in the region in August 1944. The museum contains a tourist information point.
