Nature

The Vallon des Paluds natural area in Quarré-les-Tombes comprises forest, pond, stream and rocky habitats. Roche des Fées is a granite rock formation of geological interest. The Étang du Griottier Blanc has peaty banks where waterfowl breed; rarer dragonfly species also live and reproduce there.

Culture

The Les Fuseaux de Quarré group meets every Thursday afternoon in Quarré-les-Tombes for lace-making and invites anyone interested to join in. In the village square, a monument created by Vigoureux commemorates the Maquis Verneuil, which was stationed in Isles Ménéfrier. The Church of Saint George was rebuilt in the 16th century; only the choir from this construction phase has survived.

Events

Trail O Duc and Canicross are among the events held in Quarré-les-Tombes. The Fête de la Châtaigne is one of the long-established and particularly defining events in the Quarré Morvan area.
