The Prieuré de Vausse is a historic site in the vicinity of Châtel-Gérard. The church and cloister, with the exception of the west wing, were partially listed as historic monuments by decree of January 11, 1944. The priory features construction phases from the 13th, 15th and 16th centuries; visitors are welcomed in its cloister.

The Church of Saint-Loup has a square bell tower with three levels supported by buttresses. In the parish church, the vaulting of the choir, the arches opening onto the nave and the right-hand chapel, the window tracery, and the shell niches on the buttresses of the choir's eastern end point to the beginning of the 16th century.

The 2.52-metre-high Menhir de la Dame Blanche stands in the canton of Morcon. Excavations near it uncovered fragments of burned bones, ash, around ten pottery shards, and amphora handles. This is considered evidence that the monument was particularly revered in earlier times.

Nature

The Forêt domaniale de Châtel-Gérard covers around 1,500 hectares. Beech trees predominate there; oak is also found.
