Saint-Seine: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
Saint-Seine lies on the banks of the Cressonne and on a slope of Mont d’Azy. The Church of Saint-Seine was built towards the end of the 11th century with a Romanesque nave influenced by Lombard architecture.

Since 2025, free audio-guided tours of the Church of Saint-Seine have been available via QR code. The Church of Saint-Laurent in Saint-Seine is a Romanesque church with a massive bell tower and a 12th-century portal made of pink sandstone; the latter features a low archivolt decorated with diamonds.
History
Traces dating from the Neolithic period were found at the site of the former La Loge forge. The finds include an 8-metre-deep well and fully filled urns containing cremated remains, apparently dating from before the Gallo-Roman era.
Cuisine
During the summer season, Les Saint-Seinoises Conviviales and farmers’ markets take place in Saint-Seine every other Tuesday from 6 to 10 p.m. The summer markets offer on-site catering as well as a performance at 7 p.m. The Au Saint Seine restaurant serves traditional cuisine that is entirely homemade and has a terrace overlooking the village square.
Nature
The Sentier de la p’tite maison is a 5 km walking trail between Maltat (Saône-et-Loire) and Saint-Seine (Nièvre); along the trail are forests with beech trees, sessile oaks, holly, heather and ferns.
