Druy-Parigny: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
At the Château de Druy-Parigny, parts of the defensive system are still recognisable. These include numerous loopholes for small arms and cannons. In one wing of the building, the château also preserves the remains of a room fitted out as a chapel, with pointed arches and wall paintings.
Culture and history
The façades and roofs of the Château de Druy-Parigny, as well as the chapel as a whole, were entered on the list of historic monuments by decree of 27 December 2004.
The Église Saint-Martin is also one of the defining buildings of the town. Its Gothic nave dates from the 14th century; at the same time, the church features construction phases from the 11th and 13th centuries. It is considered one of the oldest churches in the Nièvre département. The artist Olga Olby depicted the scene of the fire in a painting.
In the wider regional area around Druy-Parigny are the Château de Meauce, a castle, the Chapelle Saint-Sylvain, a church, the Cathédrale Saint-Cyr et Sainte-Julitte de Nevers, a church, and the Archives départementales de la Nièvre, an archive.
Those who choose Druy-Parigny as a travel destination can at the same time pursue the wish to rent a holiday apartment there.
