Culture

The Saint-Martin Church in Chevenon was built in the Nivernais Romanesque style. Its oldest part dates from the 12th century, while the bell dates from 1507.

The Chapelle Saint-Etienne de Jaugenay dates from the second half of the 12th century. The entire complex was classified as a historic monument in 1976.

The Château de Chevenon is the surviving remains of a fortified castle from the 14th and 15th centuries. It consists of a rectangular keep with two round towers at the front and two square towers at the rear. By decree of 25 February 1946, the château was classified as a historic monument.

Water and Trails

The Canal latéral à la Loire was opened in 1838. The Chapelle de Jaugenay can be reached from Chevenon via the EuroVelo 6 along the towpath beside the Canal latéral à la Loire in the direction of Decize; the route is approximately 5 km long.

Leisure

Zébulleparc has a supervised swimming area. There is a fishing pond directly next to Zébulleparc. A 14-km hiking trail also starts there, leading through forests and fields and returning to the village via the canal.

Chevenon is part of the geocaching network of the Saint-Pierre Magny-Cours Tourist Office. The network is used to discover the area's heritage and landscapes.

Landscape

The D13 runs between the Canal latéral à la Loire and the bocage landscape.
