Vignonet is one of eight municipalities in the jurisdiction of Saint-Émilion, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At the same time, the village lies on the bank of a bend in the Dordogne.

Culture and History

Wine and Historic Sites
Vignonet was historically shaped to a significant extent by viticulture and contributed to the reputation of Saint-Émilion wine. The Château Ferrand and Château de Pressac are also located in the area around Vignonet; both are châteaux.

The mountain biking loop “Boucle vélo: Tout terrain entre Sainte-Terre et Vignonet” follows the Dordogne and passes through the Port of Vignonet.
