Culture and History

The Église Saint-Martial has been listed as a historic monument since 1925. Originally Romanesque, it was rebuilt in the 14th century and gained a Gothic side aisle in the 16th century.

The portal of the Église Saint-Martial features figurative capitals from the 12th century, depicting, among other things, the Adoration of the Magi. The bell in the bell gable is dated 1718.

The Église Saint-Martial can be visited free of charge, but exclusively by prior appointment.

Only the original tower of the Moulin de Gravelier remains. The Moulin de la Chapelle was converted into a residential building.

Winegrowing

The Château Gravelier winery in Saint-Martial covers 32 hectares, planted as a contiguous area on clay-limestone soil.
