Nature

Pomerol has hiking trails along the Barbanne. The trails also lead to the neighbouring municipalities of Néac and Lalande-de-Pomerol.

Culture and history

The Croix de Gay is a wayside cross associated with pilgrimages. By decree of 2 July 1987, it was registered as a historic monument. The Église Saint-Jean de Pomerol was partially demolished in the 19th century; in 1899, the architect Hosteing was commissioned to rebuild it. Visitors can contact the town hall to arrange a visit.

The boundary marker of the Croix de Malte, also known as the „crossed stone“, was moved to the Domaine de la Commanderie near Catusseau. The old washhouse in Catusseau was restored to recreate its former appearance and function in the spirit of traditional washhouses. It is located in a landscaped play and leisure area. This recreational and leisure area at the washhouse includes a multi-purpose sports area, a play area for toddlers, and a landscaped picnic and relaxation area with tables and benches.

Wine

A private tuk-tuk tour takes you through the lanes and vineyards of Pomerol and Saint-Émilion. Vignobles Dignac offers an immersive tour of its two family-owned wineries in Montagne Saint-Émilion and Pomerol. As part of the tour, visitors can explore the wine cellars, and a tasting of the wines is also offered.
