Pessac: Vacation Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Cité Frugès is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as part of the series “The Architectural Work of Le Corbusier.” From Wednesday to Sunday, guided tours with commentary are offered there by reservation.

The Quartiers Modernes Frugès were built between 1924 and 1926 as an architectural, aesthetic, and social experiment that broke with the conventions of its time. The first grape harvests at Château Pape Clément took place in 1252. In the immediate vicinity of Pessac is Les arts au mur artothèque de Pessac, which is listed as a museum. Routes and Experiences

The “Aventure entre vignes et architecture” cycling tour is an easy, 18-kilometer route between Pessac and Mérignac. It starts in the center of Pessac, at the terminus of tram line B.

At the Zoo de Bordeaux-Pessac, lorikeets are fed, commented feeding sessions are offered, and visitors can talk with zookeepers. The Zoo de Bordeaux-Pessac focuses on education, nature conservation, and the protection of endangered species.
