Culture and history

The Église Saint-Vincent is Romanesque in style, features Gothic additions and has a brick bell tower with arcades and three lanterns dating from the early 19th century. By decree of 26 February 2001, it was listed in its entirety as a historic monument.

The 14th-century Château de Vidasse was built on the site of a Gallo-Roman villa and was intended to protect the ferry and the ford.

The Moulin de Moustelat was built in 1724. It is the last mill before the Dordogne estuary; at the time, it was also the only mill still in operation.

The Moulin de Moustelat can be visited daily by appointment from April to October, from 10 a.m. to noon and from 2 to 6 p.m. The programme for the European Mill Days at the Moulin à eau du Moustelat on 17 and 18 May 2025 included free guided tours, wine tastings and wine sales, as well as the production and sale of wood-fired bread.

Landscape and activities

The Boucle de la Soulège is a 14.52-kilometre, moderately difficult mountain bike loop starting and finishing in Pessac-sur-Dordogne. It follows the Soulège stream to the Moulin de Moustelat and then continues towards the Moulin de la Couronne.

The Club de Canoë-Kayak de Pessac sur Dordogne – FJEP Canoë et Vélo offers full-day bus trips from the quays to the launch sites in Ribebon, Eynesse or Port-Sainte-Foy.
