Since the 1990s, Château d’Arsac has hosted significant artists in its park and transformed the estate into an open-air museum; today, the park houses more than 20 works of contemporary art.

Culture
The monumental forecourt of the Church of Saint-Germain d’Arsac stands on foundations dating from the 12th century. Its unique Romanesque portal with five archivolts dates from the original building. The walls feature 14th- and 15th-century funerary paintings decorated with family coats of arms. The church is Romanesque and protected as a historic monument, with the exception of its southern portal.
Château d’Arsac is a wine estate classified as Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel. Its architecture combines historic splendour with bold modernity. The oenomusical tour “Si Arsac m’était chanté” covers the history of the estate since its repurchase in 1986, the replanting of the vineyards, the installation of the works of art and the production of its wines.
Nature
The Marais de Labarde, Cantenac et Arsac wetland encompasses Arsac and covers 395.52 hectares. It includes wet to highly marshy wooded areas, wet meadows, tall-herb vegetation, reed beds and aquatic habitats such as ponds, ditches, canals and jalles. Rare or unusual plant and animal species live there, some of which are protected in the Gironde département, at regional level or nationally. Under the Habitats Directive, the wetland is designated as the Natura 2000 site FR7200683 “Marais du Haut Médoc”.
The “Village d’Arsac” route offers a walk through nature with plants, flowers and trees, as well as the opportunity to observe birds, squirrels, roe deer or red deer.
The “Balade à roulettes: Village d’Arsac” loop begins in Arsac, is 3.5 km long and is designated as a very easy walking route; the available description also states that it is not walkable. The same description presents it as a short, quiet route suitable for a pushchair or a small bicycle and adapted for people with reduced mobility using a wheelchair.
Local Life
A weekly market takes place in Arsac every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., promoting local produce, crafts and regional terroir expertise.
Château des Graviers manages a 13-hectare vineyard on Pyrenean gravel ridges separated by a natural network of small streams, where it grows five grape varieties. A 2.5-hour guided wine tour covers the vineyard, grape varieties, herbalism, the fermentation and tank room and the cellar, and ends with a tasting.
