Les Artigues-De-Lussac: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
The former Cistercian abbey of Abbaye de Faise is located in the municipality of Les Artigues-de-Lussac. It was founded in the 12th century by Cistercian monks from Cadouin Abbey and was tasked with accommodating pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela. Maurice Druon acquired Abbaye de Faise in 1972 and, together with his wife Madeleine, carried out extensive restoration work there for almost ten years. Abbaye de Faise still has a cloister and a 12th-century gallery; the ground floor houses the museum area of the Maison d'écrivains.
