Haux: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

At the southern entrance to the Grand chemin stands the Croix de Manos; in 1769, it bore a wooden cross. At the other end of the hamlet stands the Croix de Bergueil, which dates back to 1864.

The 21 km Boucle vélo n°16 Créon Sud cycle route passes through Haux and directs cyclists to the church in the old village centre. To visit the church, contact Haux Town Hall on 05 56 23 95 22. The portal and the entire west façade of the church in Haux were listed by decree of 21 November 1925 and classified as historic monuments of France on 13 October 1953. A theatre group in Haux stages a comedy for all age groups every year.

Wine and events

Château Lamothe de Haux offers guided tours of its underground wine cellars every day by prior reservation. The tours are followed by a tasting of the wines and cocktails produced there. The Omelette géante takes place in Haux every Easter Monday and attracts visitors and participants from beyond the municipality.

Nature

Haux has numerous viewpoints and numerous hiking trails. Beneath the Château Lamothe de Haux estate are 8 km of limestone quarries that were created in the 17th century.
