Gabarnac: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Gabarnac is characterised by distinctive buildings and wine landscapes. The Église Saint-Seurin is a small sanctuary on a terrace above the Garonne Valley. Château Faugas was originally a fortified house dating from the 13th century. Culture

The western portal of the Église Saint-Seurin has been listed as a protected monument by decree since 21 November 1925.

The Moulin de Balan remains accessible, but cannot be visited. The tower windmill has a cylindrical structure on an artificial mound and a rotating cap.

The Moulin de Balan was built in 1746 by Dutch people who were involved in draining the marshes of the Gironde.

Wine

Since 2014, a tasting cellar has welcomed visitors at Château de Garbes; from there, there is a sweeping view of the vineyards and the barrel cellar.

Château Bidonnet Laffitte produces AOC wines such as Ste Croix du Mont, Premières Côtes de Bordeaux, Bordeaux Rouge, Bordeaux Rosé and Bordeaux blanc sec. By appointment, the château welcomes visitors for a free wine tasting.

By appointment, Vignobles Denis Chassagnol offers a free wine tasting at the estate. The vineyards are planted on clay-limestone and clay-gravel soils.
