Escoussans: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Saint-Seurin-Saint-Roch Church has Merovingian origins. More recent archaeological investigations suggest that the parish associated with the Saint-Seurin-Saint-Roch Church is very old. The parish church may contain Romanesque elements from the 12th century; at the beginning of the 16th century, it was largely rebuilt, and side aisles were added in the 17th century.
Culture and History
The historic townscape also includes the Commanderie de Saint Roch manor house, also known as Le Manoir. It is one of the few surviving 16th-century manor houses in Entre-deux-Mers.
Another historical trace is the Moulin de L'Armurey. It was used to work plates for the manufacture of armour components, and also to grind grain. The Moulin de Balaurin, on the other hand, is privately owned and cannot be visited.

Landscape
The village of Escoussans lies on a slope along the Euille. In the Entre-deux-Mers landscape, Escoussans is described as a village on a promontory that serves as a prominent visual landmark.
Wine and Local Festivals
Château Naudonnet Plaisance sells wine directly at the estate and offers free cellar tours and tastings.
The local festivals are also part of the town's traditional and documented history: the Saint-Roch festival in Escoussans was formerly always held on the second Sunday in August; today, the local festival has been moved to July. A cherry festival (Fête de la cerise) was also held in Escoussans on Sunday, 12 June 2022.
