Culture and History

The Church of Notre-Dame has a rare trefoil choir and was extensively remodelled in 1856. Its west portal has been protected as a historic monument since 19 December 1907.

The history of Coimères includes the La Moutasse archaeological site, with the remains of a fortified motte surrounded by ditches, as well as the Château de la Roque, also known as Larroque or Tour de Coimères. It was built by Étienne de la Roque under Henry IV. The former chapter house was under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Bazas.

Several old washhouses along small streams line the village walking tour. The Bazas–Castets–Castillon cycle route heads towards Coimères after passing through Cazats.
