Château Tayat in Cézac offers individuals and groups tours of its cellars, vineyards and vine-growing areas. The Favreaud family behind Château Tayat has been involved in wine-growing for seven generations and invites visitors to discover its history and craftsmanship.
Château Tayat’s vineyards cover 32 hectares across three municipalities. They are situated on clay-limestone, clay-siliceous and sandy soils.
Château Lapourcaud also offers insights into wine-growing: guided tours of the vineyards and wine cellar are available by prior appointment. This is followed by a tasting of the estate’s wines. Château Lapourcaud has 12 hectares of vineyards on clay-limestone terroir.
Culture
The Church of Saint Peter of Cézac was built during the Romanesque period and has a Romanesque bell tower. Around 1885, it was extensively restored and, above all, rebuilt.
The Bousquet tile works in Cézac is still in operation and produces tiles using traditional methods.
The motorhome parking area has two spaces behind the church in the town centre.
Leisure
Ferme Califourchon in Cézac presents more than 200 animals on a landscaped 12-hectare site and rents out Rosalie pedal vehicles.
Nature
The Boucle de Colinet is a 16-kilometre circular hiking trail in Cézac that connects Cézac and Cavignac. The Colinet flows through a small shady valley; along other streams, meadows and small groves characterise the landscape.
