One of the notable buildings in Cantenac is Château d’Issan. The estate has a quadrangular layout surrounded by water-filled moats. The corners are fortified with round towers, and an entrance gatehouse is protected by two round towers. Château d’Issan is listed as a historic monument and preserves medieval towers, moats, a monumental gate, and an enclosing wall dating from 1644 that runs around the vineyards.

The Church of Saint Didier de Cantenac was rebuilt from 1769 onwards on the ruins of an earlier church.
